Jonathan Lloyd
Jonathan Lloyd is a painter and printmaker based in Northumberland. He studied Fine Art at Maidstone graduating in 1986 and has exhibited extensively in the UK, most recently at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
He says about his work:
‘The figure saturated by its pictorial environment is a recurring theme. I like the dissolution of solid form in a fluid spatial arrangement, not because I lack accuracy but because it holds the potential of greater spectacle and movement; abstraction has become a means to and a spectrum of figuration.
Painting has always been a way to simultaneously show off and hide behind my unique perceptions and sensibilities; to make a song and dance without the embarrassment of actually singing or dancing.’
