Collection: A Kaleidoscope of Colour - Jason Hicklin - November 2 - 23 2024
We are delighted to be exhibiting Jason's new series of etchings from the East Coat of Yorkshire, alongside a selection of prints from his recent etchings of London.
‘The works in this show reflect my obsession with the magical, corrosive process of etching which was introduced to me by Norman Ackroyd at the Central School of Art nearly 40 years ago.
The Prints are made following walks in the landscape; on the East Coast of Yorkshire, along the Thames, to the last outposts of Europe, Pembrokeshire, The Hebrides and Saint Kilda.’ Jason Hicklin
Working with the minimum of equipment, Jason walks, climbs and camps out in all weathers where he can become fully immersed within the landscape around him. During these experiences he feels tremendously connected to the land and records the elemental impacts between the land, sea and weather.
Preview Friday 1 November 6pm - 8pm, all welcome
