Cleveland Mountain Rescue Fundraiser with Landscape Artist Len Tabner
19th July - 31st July
From Saturday 19th July, until the end of this month, Zillah Bell Gallery is delighted to be exhibiting Len Tabner’s oil painting “Looking over to Roseberry and Beyond from the Wainstones, Sunday 12th February 2012 – after Snow”.
The spectacular 5ft x 3ft painting was produced to help raise funds for Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team after the Charity approached the artist for his help. With this Len Tabner agreed to produce a painting in which they could have the rights to print a limited edition from.
All proceeds of sales of the 95 limited edition prints will go to the charity Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team to fund their purchase of a new Land Rover. Priced at £325, the fine art inkjet prints were produced by the photographer Joe Cornish. It is the first time Len Tabner’s work has been made into a limited edition print run for sale to the general public.
The original painting will be on display, along with the limited edition prints. Greeting cards of the painting will also be on sale, kindly donated to Cleveland Mountain Rescue by Alverton Press.
If interested in purchasing the print, please contact the gallery to reserve your edition number.
About the Charity
The Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is a charity run entirely by unpaid volunteers who provide a search and rescue service specifically in North Yorkshire, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Through their membership of the North East Search and Rescue Association their remit however goes far beyond the boundaries of Cleveland and North Yorkshire. Currently with call-outs running at an average of just under 50 a year there is significant demand for the skills and resources of the Team.
To provide such a service requires a team of dedicated volunteers trained to use specialist equipment and able to respond to a range of emergencies, whether that involves rescuing an injured horse rider or mountain biker, or searching for a missing person.
