Creekside Eleven – Artists from APT Studios
28th October - 18th November
Curated by Mali Morris RA, this exhibition presents a selection of work by eleven of the forty-four artists who have studios at A.P.T in South East London.
The Art in Perpetuity Trust (A.P.T) was set up 22 years ago by a group of artists to provide a home for art and creativity in South East London. Today there are forty-four artists who practice at the studios. A.P.T is a charity that provides secure studios and promotes the value of creativity through the visual arts.
All manner of art is made in these studios, wall-based, floor-based, time-based, in every scale and dimension. The works in the exhibition have been selected with the spaces of Zillah Bell Gallery in mind, and will include paintings, drawings and prints.
“I enjoyed the serendipity of gathering together the disparate artworks and have been looking forward to seeing how they interact in a new location. I hope that this snapshot will serve as an introduction to all the activities at A.P.T …” Mali Morris
The Private View will be on Friday 27 October from 6.30 – 8.30pm.
