Brenda Wright

After training as a painter at Leeds College of Art and a career in art education, Brenda found herself drawn to ceramics. She gained a distinction in 1991 at Harrogate College after completing a ceramics BTEC. Brenda set up her workshop and joined The Northern Potters Association, serving on the committee until 1995. 

Brenda's initial inspiration for form and themes was ocean life - it's moods, colours and textures all played a huge influence on her work. She wanted to make pieces to be handled and used within the home, combining the practical and aesthetic.
