Colin See-Paynton - Of a Feather – an avian alphabet - 8-22 March 2025

Each one of the wood engravings in this exhibition has been made in the space of roughly four years and takes us through the alphabet from ‘Abandonment of Cuckoos’ through ‘Gaggle of Geese’, ‘Tiding of Magpies’ to ‘Zephyr of Longtailed Titmice’.

A complete and wonderfully poetic alphabet of collective nouns that together with Colin See-Paynton’s text was first published as the book Of a Feather by the Gregynog Press in 2008 and is now published in 2010 as a new limited edition by Stingwern Books.
