Ian Burke

Ian Burke was born at Saltburn-by-the-Sea and continues to live on the North Yorkshire coast. He studied Fine Art at Newcastle University, worked on the North Sea oil rigs for two years and then completed his art education and gained his MA at Goldsmiths College.

A painter, printmaker and assemblagist, he has exhibited widely including regular and frequent selections for the Royal Academy Summer exhibition.

He regards teaching as integral to his creative output and is currently Head of Art at Eton College.
