Jenny Portlock

Jenny Portlock studied as a Graphic Designer and started her career as a Book Designer, working for leading educational book publishers such as the Longman Group and both the Oxford and Cambridge University Presses, designing the books and commissioning the illustrators. She was elected to the Society of Wood Engravers in 2010.

Her wood engravings were chosen for inclusion in the Gertrude Hermes Exhibition at The Hepworth Wakefield and she has exhibited internationally, in France, Italy, Canada and China. In 2020 she was commissioned to create a special wood engraving to celebrate the Centenary of the Society of Wood Engravers.
