As a printmaker, Patrick Hughes uses rainbows to create a different paradox. Defying their conventional form, his rainbows assume a solidity and a desire to assert themselves in unexpected ways. They challenge our preconceptions of form in the same way that his Reverspective paintings challenge perspective.
